Case
The donations and assistance for a specific shelter are a challenging process due to the lack of widely available and systematized data on where and how contributions can be made or other forms of assistance can be provided.
Our goal
1. Thoroughly 'examine' and analyze the problem by understanding our potential user:
• Objectives
• Motivations to help
• Frustrations and problems
• Past experiences related to assisting shelters
2. Design a tool that facilitates access to information about the needs of shelters/organizations and, in turn, makes it easier to help animals.
Pre-screener 3 general questions about helping shelters
• Encouragement to participate in the project
• Consent to further participation in the study
49 SUBJECTS
Screener
• wybrano 25 osób (11 👩🏼 9 👨🏼) z ankietowanych w prescreenerze, które miały najwięcej styczności z pomaganiem w schroniskach
• 6 pytań o częstość, rodzaj wsparcia i doświadczenia związane z pomocą schroniskom
25 SUBJECTS
• The vast majority (around 80%) supports shelters 1-2 times a year (materially and/or non-materially).
• 56% encounter difficulties in finding a way to help a specific shelter.
• 76% indicate significant or moderate difficulty (on a scale from 1 to 3) in finding information regarding assistance to shelters.
Interview
Interview involving detailed questions about experiences related to helping animals.
Selection of candidates:
• 2 individuals who have adopted and consistently provide assistance.
• 2 individuals who regularly help but face challenges in accessing information.
• 1 individual who regularly helps without encountering any issues.
What we asked about:
• Motivations
• Types of assistance
• Challenges and struggles in the process of helping
• Adoption process details
